Heitor Alvelos is a teacher of Design and New media at the University of Porto, and he contributed to the implementation of the Discipline of Research in Design in the Portuguese context, as a member of the Scientific Council of the Foundation for Science and Technology, and as Director of the ID+ (Research Institute for Design, Media and Culture) in the University of Porto.<\/p>\n
He developed I&D in the area of the UT Austin-Portugal program for the Digital Media since 2006 and is currently its National Director or Outreach. Still in the UT Austin-Portugal program, he directs FuturePlaces, medialab for citizens since 2008.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
