Industrial Designer of the University of Buenos Aires. Currently Director of INTI-Industria 4.0, she was Director of the Industrial Design Center of the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI-Industrial Design). Responsible for the “Design for Innovation” Program. “Official” Master in Communication Management in the Catholic University of San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM). Lecturer and Researcher at FADU UBA. She has directed numerous transfer projects: topics such as design management, sustainability, usability, ergonomics, 3D printing and industry 4.0.

Manuel Bañó



Designer. Director of FREE DESIGN BANK, social design and co-development project. Full Professor at the UCH_CEU. Valencia, Spain.

Since 1986, Manuel Bañó has combined teaching design with professional activity as a product designer. In 2000, he began to collaborate with the NGO Oxfam in the development of fair trade products for artisans without resources. Later on, with the experience acquired and the support of the CEU-UCH University, he created the design cooperation project called FREE DESIGN BANK, a social design and co-development project in which design students collaborate with artisans from different disadvantaged areas of the world, who need assistance in product design in order to improve their sales and thus their quality of life.

The FREE DESIGN BANK project is carried out in countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Cuba, Kenya, Tanzania, Senegal, Mali, Sierra Leone, Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.

Bañó’s designs for toys, footwear, furniture and lighting have been exhibited collectively at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, the Valencian Institute Valenciano of Modern Arts, the Museum of Ethnology or the Museum of Ilustration in Valencia.The Barcelona Design Museum is currently exhibiting its Sister Moon chair (Punt Mobles) in its permanent collection. Industrial Designer. Doctor in Fine Arts, Professor of Design Engineering Projects and Product Development, founder of the School of Design of the CEU-Cardenal Herrera University of Valencia (Spain). He belongs to the BEDA (Bureau of European Design Associations) and he is the co-founder of the Association of Designers of the Valencian Community (ADCV).

Manuel Estrada



Designer. Founder and President of the Madrid Design Foundation (DIMAD) and Executive President of the Ibero-American Design Biennial (BID). Madrid, Spain.

Specialized in graphic design, he stands out in the field of editorial and corporate design. His studio is the second to receive the AENOR Certificate in the Quality (ISO 9001 Standard) and Environment (ISO 14000 Standard) systems. His works for institutions such as the Cervantes Awards, Alianza Editorial, Repsol

Foundation and his various front pages of the newspaper “El País” stand out. He has won various awards and distinctions such as Laus, AEPD, Art Directors Club of Europe and recently the Good Design Chicago 2014. He is a member of the Spanish Council for Artistic Education.

Manuel Lecuona



Professor of Design Management. Lecturer at the ETS of Design Engineering Docente, in the “Official” Master of Design Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). Founder of the IGD – Investigation and Design Engineering Group (UPV)Valencia, Spain.

Director and Founder of “Trendhal Designspotting”, Trend Observatory. Manuel Lecuona is coordinator of the Design Management module of the Master Design Management of the UPC Foundation. Guest Professor at the University of Havana (Cuba) and the University of EAFIT Medellin (Colombia), and has a Magister in Strategic Design at the University of Valparaiso (Chile).

He is also an external consultant in Design Management at the Barcelona Design Centre (BCD) and at the PRODINTEC Technology Centre. He collaborates with organizations such as CANACINTRA and AFANJL (Mexico), Bancomex (Mexico), Technological Center of Wood (Bio-Bio Chile), CETELEM Bank (Spain). FEDERHABITAT (Spain).

Óscar Salinas



Industrial Designer, Professor of Industrial Design and Doctor of Architecture. He is currently professor and researcher in the Industrial Design Master at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and is part of the governing council of the BID Encounter. CDMX, Mexico.

He has chaired and participated in the main design trade organizations in his country and is currently a board member of the international organizations ICDHS (International Committee of Design History and Studies), FHD (Design History Foundation) and the IDB (Ibero-American Design Biennial). He has served as director and tutor of more than one hundred undergraduate, master and doctoral thesis projects and postdoctoral research.

He has given courses and more than 90 lectures at various academic and professional events in Mexico and other countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Equator, Guatemala, Panama, Uruguay, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Finland, England, Japan, Brazil, Belgium, Scotland, Taiwan and China.

He is author or co-author of 14 books and multiple scientific articles in national and international publications on design topics. Through the Inter-institutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education in Mexico (CIEES), he has evaluated more than 60 University Programs in the area of Architecture and Design.

Founder and General Director of “Editorial DESIGNIO, Libros de Diseño”, the first publishing house specialized in design in Mexico, with distribution in Latin America.

Eva Serrano



Director of the Innovative Business Group for Furniture and Related Products of the Region of Murcia (Cluster Manager OF AMUEBLA). Head of the Formation Department of CETEM. Murcia, Spain.

Engineer in Industrial Design, her professional development has taken place fundamentally in the fields of design (in all its aspects), innovation, cooperation and formation. She´s specialized in furniture and wood sectors, and in other sectors that invest in innovation activities and the development of new products and processes. She has developed and managed various innovation projects for SMEs, which have increased their competitiveness and strengthened their capacities to face the difficulties of the market. She also has been an advisory member of the Design Observatory of the Region of Murcia.

Cristina Zuluaga Penagos



Director of the Furniture Observatory of the SENA (National Learning Service). Furniture Technology Centre of Colombia. Medellin, Colombia.

Industrial designer from the Pontifical Bolivarian University in Medellin, specialist in furniture design from the University of Buenos Aires and Magister in Marketing from the Esumer University Institution.

She has more than 10 years of experience in different areas of design, especially in Design of Space and Commercial Furniture, Branding and Business Strategy. In the academic field, for 4 years she has been the leader of the Furniture Observatory, a project of SENA in the Furniture Technology Center that focuses on market research and design trends. She is currently participating in the projects of Strategic Prospective, Innovation, Change Management, Congress on Furniture Design “+mob” and “+mob” review of the same institution.
