Evolution and innovation in the formative processes in design. Presentation of cases of the Future education symposium
The designer’s formation is changing because the professional profiles are changing; and theses are changing because the formative processes are changing. This is a circle.
The International Symposium that took place in Bologna on September, 30th 2017, organized by the Golinelli Foundation of Bologna reunited 100 international experts in design teaching who highlighted case studies a transformation in design teaching and in design. This presentation will reflect on the results of this Symposium, in which 20 outstanding experiences that became subject of study had been presented. Direct testimonies of protagonists from the entire world who innovated in strategies and motivation following the excellence of the didactic curriculums of the design universities. An alternative reality based in the instruments and approximations of the design culture.
Flaviano Celaschi
Profile
Doctor in research in Architecture and Environment Technology, Celaschi coordinates the Degree of Industrial Product Design that he created in the Bologna University in 2013. Research consultant for public and private entities, companies, foundations and universities, in innovation impulsed impelled by design, he assessed different institutions to create a process of renovation and productive evolution focused on design and communication.
Celaschi founded and coordinates, in the same centre, the Advanced Design Center, study and research centre about anticipation and project. In 2008, he founded and coordinated the Process Design Network, international network that organizes the International Forum of Design a Process, currently in its fifth edition. He has been acting Dean of the Design faculty of the Polytechnic University of Milan (2001-2003).
Flaviano Celaschi has been teacher in the National Academy of Art of Hangzou, University of Wuxi, Design Center of Cengdu (China), University of Malaga (Spain), CETIQT University of Rio de Janeiro, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Jesuit UNISINOS University of Porto Alegre, State University of Minas Gerais of Belo Horizonte (Brazil), Pontifical University of Santiago (Chile), National University of Cordoba (Argentina), National University of Bogota (Colombia), Technical University of Monterrey de Guadalajara (Mexico), German University of Cairo (Egypt), UNIPAL University of Mangalore (India), Polytechnic University of Milan, Polytechnic University of Turin, University of Napoli, Free University of Bolzano, University of Bérgamo, University of Urbino, University of Genoa (Italy).
In the 90’s, the professional, didactic and scientific formation of Flaviao Celaschi developed itself around different areas. One of them was the sector of building/edification, since his university education experience was centered on architecture and environment.
