Ruth Klotzel

For 12 years she was professor of Visual Communication Design at University Center Senacy, which is part of the Armando Alavres Penteado Foundation (FAAP) in Sao Paulo. In 1989 she co-founded the Association of Graphic Designers of Brazil (ADG-BRASIL) and was the director for four periods. She was a fellow of the Design collegiate body at the Council of Public Politics of Brazilian Ministry of Culture in 2013 and 2014. Now, she is a fellow of the Chairmanship of the Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño. She also participates in the editorial board of Communication Design, publication of research about Design at the Ico-D (International Council of Design) and, she is the director of the design studio Estudio Infinito.

Daniel Wolkowicz
1952, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Graphic designer. Tenured professor of Design at the Faculty of Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires. Also tenured professor of the Visual Project Undergraduate Course of Multimedia Arts in the National University Institute of Art (IUNA).

Having studied architecture at the UBA (1975), he started working in Graphic Design in 1972 under the tutelage of Juan Andralis and Jorge Sarudiansky. Besides being the teacher of Design 1, 2, 3 at the FADU UBA and IUNA, he is tenured professor of applied Design for Multimedia Arts Undergraduate program in the University of Maimónides. Twice, he was director of the Undergraduate Course of Graphic Design FADU UBA (1990/1994, 2006/2010) and Vice-Dean of Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of Buenos Aires University. What’s more, he served as Secretary of Development and Institutional Linkage of the IUNA (National University Institute of Art).

Graduate in Industrial Design and doctorate in Design from the Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon, Ligia Lopes has been a guest professor at the Deca – University de Aveiro and University Lusíada de Oporto in Design. She has researched, not only for “Architecture, Urban Space and Universal Design” for the CITAD (Center of Research in Territory, Architecture and Design) but also for the CIAUD (Center of Research in Architecture, Urbanism and Design) – Faculty of Architecture of Technical University of Lisbon. She co-founded the association Design Includes You. Her research interests include Design, participative methodologies, co-design, social incorporation and social design.

Carlos Hinrichsen

Industrial Designer and Engineering Master. He is senior general coordinator of Engineering-Design at the Engineering School of P. Catholic University of Chile. From 2007 to 2009, he was President of the International Council of Industrial Design Associations (ICSID), of which today, he is senator.

He was recognised with the distinction “Commander of the Order of the Lion of Finland” for his contribution to the development of Design education, innovation and promotion in Chile and Finland. From 1992 to 2010, he was director of the Design School of Duoc UC, Chile. He has led projects and initiatives encompassing business, engineering, design, innovation, management and technology in Asia, Africa and Europe. Today, he is design director of the Region of Innovation in Design. Since 2002, he is an honorary member of the Chilean Design Association.

Londoño is a well-known teacher and cultural manager, leader of the Festival of Image, a meeting of digital and visual culture which is celebrating its 16th edition (since 1997). It is organized by the Department of Visual Design of the University of Caldas in Manizales. This year, he participated in the electronic art symposium, recognized internaionally as the leading symposium in this field, ISEA201.
