Fernanda Martins is a designer, director of Mapinguari Design that acts in Strategic, corporate and sustainable Design. Operating in typography, she developed several corporate sources. With an education in Visual Arts in the School of Communication and Arts of the USP (University of São Paulo), she is currently doing a PhD in Design history in the Superior School of Industrial Design ESDI/UERJ. In 1998, she earned a Masters in Graphic Design and Typography in Basel Kunstgewerbeschule (School of Design in Basiléia, Swiss). She specialized her studies in Semiotics and Visual Culture, in the Federal University of Pará, in 2008. She is a teacher and researcher in the fields of Typography and Design in particular, in Amazonia. She acts in cultural policies linked with Design, as an adviser in the National Council of Cultural Incentives (CNIC) for two terms between 2004 and 2009. She is a delegate of the Sector Design and titular representative in the CNPC (National Council of Cultural Politics of the Minister of the Culture) between 2013 and 2015.
